Advocating Moms: Empowering Your Parenting Journey with Alyssa Klein

My name is Alyssa Klein, and I am a 40-year-old mom to 5-year-old twin girls who I have advocated for since before they were born. The posts I share will reflect my journey through motherhood—from even before my girls were here—and the many ways I have advocated to make sure they had the best chance to thrive.

My goal in sharing my story is to help women everywhere feel confident in advocating for their children and to know that they are not alone.

My twins were born at 25 weeks, each weighing just one pound, eager to arrive earlier than expected. At 18 weeks pregnant, I required a rescue cerclage after learning I was already 1 cm dilated. From that moment on, I knew my twins had a story to tell—and I became their voice long before they could speak for themselves.

I hope that my stories of advocacy and parenting help you feel like you have someone walking alongside you—that you are not alone, and that there is always hope, even in the hardest moments.
